Greening treasures - purple hydrangea

Most people who like flowers know the hydrangeas of the honeysuckle family and the hydrangeaceae hydrangeas commonly known as the "hydrangea." However, most of the purple hydrangea in the Asteraceae family may not be heard, let alone a glimpse. Purple hydrangea, deciduous trees, native to Mexico and Central America and other places, are widely planted in the tropics, but in China, only a few units such as the South China Botanical Garden were introduced. Dry height up to 10-20 meters, with vertical cracks; palmate compound leaves opposite; corymbose terminal flowers, large and multi-flowered, corolla early purple, funnel-shaped, covered with short down; aging into a pink to near White; Stamens 5, one of them stunted. Capsule flat cylindrical, 20-35 cm long; seed thin disc, oval, with two transparent wings. Purple hydrangea sometimes blooms twice a year in southern China. The flowering period lasts from April to May and from October to December, and the inflorescences are gradually opened, each of which lasts for 1-2 months. The fruit ripening period is in summer or winter. However, due to insufficient accumulated temperature in South China, the fertility rate is relatively low. The deciduous period of purple hydrangea is 1-3 months in southern China. Due to the beautiful color and shape of the tree, purple hydrangea is the top grade in garden ornamental trees. Shade trees or street trees can be used in parks, courtyards, scenic lawns, ponds or trunk roads, suitable for isolation or planting. In parts of the country of origin such as Central America, it is also an important timber species and is a high-quality furniture material. Reproduction can be done by sowing and cutting. Seeding is generally used at the place of origin, but the South China Botanical Garden uses a small amount of seeds sown, and the germination rate can be as high as 97%. The seedlings grow well in Guangzhou. Cuttings should be carried out in the peak season of April-May. Generally, 1-2 year old shoot cuttings are used, and the survival rate is higher. Due to the tropics of origin, Purple Hydrangea is suitable for high temperatures, high humidity, and a sunny environment. It is suitable for growth at a temperature of 23-30°C. The deep, fertile, well-drained neutral to slightly acidic soils are well tolerant to drought, and are also resistant to moisture, poor soil and low temperatures. When planting, deep digging should be done, and the base fertilizer should be applied. Fertilizer should be applied once every 2 to 3 months during the growth period. It is very resistant and less pests and diseases occur.

Photobiomodulation (PBM) describes the use of red or near-infrared light to stimulate, heal, regenerate, and protect tissue that has either been injured, is degenerating, or else is at risk of dying. One of the organ systems of the human body that is most necessary to life, and whose optimum functioning is most worried about by humankind in general, is the brain.
The brain suffers from many different disorders that can be classified into three broad groupings: traumatic events (stroke, traumatic brain injury, and global ischemia), degenerative diseases (dementia, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's), and psychiatric disorders (depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder). There is some evidence that all these seemingly diverse conditions can be beneficially affected by applying light to the head. There is even the possibility that PBM could be
used for cognitive enhancement in normal healthy people.
In this transcranial PBM (tPBM) application, near-infrared (NIR) light is often applied to the forehead
because of the better penetration (no hair, longer wavelength).
