Israel Skin Cancer Scanning Company has developed a skin cancer detection device that can detect malignant cancer on the skin in time and is helpful for early prevention and treatment of skin cancer.
The device called "skin scan 650" uses fiber scanning for diagnosis. When it is used, it only needs to place the device next to the part to be inspected. The light source emits light to scan the lesion area. After the cell is irradiated, part of the light will be reflected back. And the instrument converts the collected optical signal into an electrical signal, and by analyzing the obtained data type and mode, the detection result can be judged. Researchers at the Rabin Medical Center have shown that the device is 92% effective in detecting early skin cancer.
The technology is said to have been developed based on the phenomenon of biothermal radiation. Studies have found that living organisms radiate energy in the form of heat. If the body's thermal radiation is abnormal, it may mean that some parts have lesions. Since cancer cells spread faster than normal cells in healthy cells, energy is released at a higher frequency during metabolism.
