The paper shows that Zhang Feng team has developed a "gene test strip" that can be used to detect nucleic acids such as viruses and tumor DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid), which is characterized by low cost, convenience and high efficiency.
In the paper, it is only necessary to immerse the “gene test paper†in the treated sample, and a line will show whether the target molecule is detected. Through this "genetic test strip", Zhang Feng team successfully detected some viral infections and tumor markers in lung cancer patients in the laboratory.
