Use nerve technology + auditory stimulation to help you fall asleep, medical health startup Dreem received $ 35 million in financing

Today, French founder Dreem announced a $35 million financing, which will continue to develop its brainwave monitoring sleep headset. In addition to neuroscience, Dreem's headwear also uses auditory stimuli to help people fall asleep faster and deeper. This round of financing was jointly led by US consumer goods giant Johnson and the French national bank Bpifrance.

“Understanding and improving sleep is one of the most important projects in technology, science and social. Today, about 30% of people around the world can't get an effective sleep every day. If their sleep quality can be improved, then we will welcome An unprecedented opportunity,” said Hugo Mercier, CEO of Dreem.

Dreem will use this financing to continue to develop its headset and invest in sleep research. The company's headquarters are located in Paris and San Francisco, which will increase the number of team members to 70.

After this round of new financing, the company's total financing since its establishment in 2013 will reach 60 million US dollars. Its existing investors include French entrepreneur Xavier Niel and French insurance company MAIF.
