Agricultural machinery oil road failure and maintenance

When agricultural machinery is in operation, several common oil-related failures may occur. Understanding these issues and knowing how to handle them quickly can help maintain the equipment effectively. Here are five typical problems and their temporary fixes:

First, a broken oil pipe. If the tubing cracks or breaks, you can replace it with a rubber or plastic tube that matches the diameter. To prevent leaks, secure both ends with wire and ensure the connection is tight.

Second, a ruptured oil pipe. In case of a tear, clean the damaged area thoroughly. Apply soap to the crack, wrap it with cloth or electrical tape, and secure it with wire. Reapply soap for added protection against leakage.

Third, oil pipe joint leakage. If there's a leak at the connection, wrap the lower part of the fitting with cotton yarn and tighten the nut. Alternatively, chew bubble gum or maltose into a paste, apply it to the nut seat, and let it dry to create a temporary seal.

Fourth, oil leakage due to a hole or crack. Depending on the size of the damage, use an electric fuse of the same size and gently tap it into the hole with a hammer to block the leak. This method works well for small punctures.

Fifth, fuel tank damage. If the fuel tank is leaking, first clean the area. Apply soap or bubble gum over the leak to stop it temporarily. For a more permanent fix, use epoxy resin adhesive to repair the damage. Always check the tank regularly to avoid further issues.

These quick solutions can help keep your agricultural machinery running smoothly in the field. However, for long-term reliability, it's best to replace damaged parts as soon as possible and perform regular maintenance checks.
