How to choose the correct mesh for fish

Cages are a new type of facility in efficient aquaculture. In the cage culture production, if the mesh is appropriate, not only can the netting material be reduced, the cost of the cage can be reduced, and the mesh can not be easily blocked, and the water exchange condition is also good. Therefore, in the cage culture, do not neglect to select the mesh for the Fish. Methods as below:
1. Reasonably selected mesh
(1) Selection of conventional fingerling nets. The mesh of cultivated summer fish cages should be 1.0 to 1.5 cm, but 1.2 to 1.3 cm is the best. When weaving 1.2cm mesh, the allowable error in processing is 0.1cm. In this way, the maximum mesh size after weaving the mesh sheet is 1.3 cm, and the minimum mesh size is 1.1 cm, and when the summer fish species are stocked, the degree of fish is 1.1%.
(2) Selection of fishery nets for grading. When cages are used for culturing fish species, the mesh size will affect the date of entry of summer fish species. For example, squid, squid and summer fish species can only be placed in cages with a mesh size of 1.5 cm when they are more than 6 cm in length. This actually delays the entry date of the summer fish species and affects the growth period of the species. If the mesh is too small, the mesh can be easily blocked by algae or organic suspended matter, which affects the drainage volume of the cage and is not conducive to the growth of fish species in the cage. At present, the 1.0 cm mesh cages used in our country are already denser. The largest mesh area of such a mesh is 0.25 square centimeters, and the largest mesh area is less than half that of a mesh of 1.4 centimeters. At present, new technologies for cultivating fingerlings in cages with different mesh sizes (1.0 to 1.8 cm) are being promoted and applied. Correct selection of the size of the mesh must also be based on the relationship between full body length and body height. Generally, the height of the fish body can be used as the basis for the size of the selected mesh, based on the principle that the body height is less than twice the circumference of the fish body.
2. Timely adjustment of the mesh Since the body height of each fish is less than twice the circumference, it is necessary to use this as a reference to determine the size of the selected mesh in a cage using polyethylene as the mesh body. For example, if the length of the fish species to be placed is 10cm, the size of the squid mesh may not exceed 3.2cm, the grass carp does not exceed 2.0cm, and the carp, catfish and squid do not exceed 2.53cm. According to this specification, the size of the mesh can be selected so that fish species that have been placed into cages will not escape due to excessive mesh. If carcasses stock carnivorous fish, and the mesh material is not polyethylene, as long as the cable has a certain degree of flexibility, and the size of the mesh is selected according to the above criteria, sometimes fish escape occurs, then the mesh size should be reduced. . This is to prevent the escape of fish as a selection of mesh standards. In fact, in the course of fish breeding in cages, due to the continuous growth of fish species and the continuous appearance of small mesh size, the method of adjusting cages can be used to gradually expand the mesh and increase the number of meshes. Exchange the amount of water to solve the problem.
