As we hit the two-week mark of the new year, I'm still juggling a long list of beginning-of-the-year tasks. It's amazing how those little to-dos pile up, even when you're determined to stay on track!
One of the things I always include on our family calendar each January is a reminder to update the IRS Withholding Calculator. If you haven't done it yet, it's a quick and easy way to ensure you're not overpaying or underpaying your taxes. I talked about this in an earlier post, but it's worth revisiting every year.
Another task on my list is finishing our 2014 photo book. I try to get this done by the end of January because it's the perfect time to start thinking about the next year's album. There's something satisfying about looking back at old photos while capturing new memories.
And then there's our annual net worth calculation. We don’t have a specific target number in mind, but tracking our net worth gives us a clear picture of whether we’re moving forward financially. Seeing those numbers grow every six months is incredibly motivating for me—it’s like having a personal cheerleader!
