It’s Sunday once again, which means it’s time for one of my favorite things… Sunday Citar! (Citar = to quote in Spanish)

Every week, we share a quote or two—something inspiring, humorous, or thought-provoking. Whether it’s a favorite passage or something new that caught your attention, let’s celebrate the power of words together. This is a space to reflect, connect, and find joy in the simple act of quoting something meaningful.

“Get excited and enthusiastic about your own dreams. This excitement is like a forest fire—you can smell it, taste it, and see it from a mile away.”
~Denis Waitley

Today was a girlfriends’ day where I traded my cozy, faded pajama pants for a pair of stylish boots and a summery dress. It was the kind of day filled with laughter, art, and the kind of conversations that make you feel alive. We wandered through the streets of a quaint theater district, its walls adorned with intricate designs that seemed almost poetic. Later, we indulged in some mouthwatering barbecue at a nearby restaurant, leaving us feeling full and content.

Yet, as wonderful as the day was, I couldn’t shake the bittersweet feeling in my heart. Part of me longed to savor the quiet moments alone, immersing myself in the beauty of live performances without interruptions. At the same time, I missed the chaos and warmth of my family—the sound of laughter, the clingy hugs, and the playful banter that fills my home. Today reminded me how much I cherish both worlds: the freedom to explore and the comfort of being surrounded by those I love most.

“Yes, baby, we were excited. I’m still excited because you are my dream… you made me a mom.”

By the end of the day, I found a balance between the two. I embraced the independence and fun of spending time with friends, but I also made sure to come home to my little ones. There’s something magical about switching gears so seamlessly—from dancing through town to rocking my child to sleep. These contrasting experiences remind me of the richness of life, where every moment has value, whether big or small.

Today, my worlds collided—and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
