Early autumn spinach sowing points

In early autumn, the weather is still quite warm, often referred to as the "autumn tiger." When planting spinach during this time, it's essential to choose heat-resistant and fast-germinating varieties that can thrive in higher temperatures. These varieties are more likely to sprout successfully and establish strong growth. To prepare the seeds, soak them in water for 12 to 24 hours before germination. Place them in a shaded area of the room and keep them moist by turning them regularly. After about 5 to 6 days, the seeds should begin to sprout and be ready for planting. Sowing should be done in mid-August, with harvest taking place in late September. During the hot period, it’s recommended to increase the seed rate to 10–15 kg per acre. Before sowing, make sure to water the soil first to create a favorable environment for the seeds. When sowing spinach, it's best to do so before the "White Dew" season. After sowing, cover the bed with straw or similar material to help retain moisture and provide shade, which supports better germination and uniform seedling development. Water the area once in the morning and once in the evening before the seeds emerge. Once the seedlings appear, remove the cover and water according to the soil moisture needs. As the plants grow, apply a small amount of diluted manure water as a top dressing to promote healthy development. This careful management ensures a successful spinach crop even in the challenging conditions of early autumn.
