The six points to keep goslings

First, select healthy goslings. Look for those that are active, have bright eyes, show quick responses, and have well-contracted yolk sacs. They should stand firmly on their feet after hatching and make strong vocalizations. When you lift them by the neck, their legs should quickly contract. Avoid weak or underdeveloped goslings with soft bellies or poor vitality. Second, maintain proper temperature. For goslings aged 1-5 days, keep the temperature between 25-28°C. From day 6 to 10, it should be 23-26°C. Between days 11-20, the ideal range is 20-24°C. Once they’re over 21 days old, the temperature can gradually drop to 17-20°C. Third, feed carefully and regularly. After hatching, provide water first, then offer soaked rice mixed with finely chopped greens. In the first two days, feed them 4-5 times a day. From day 4 to 10, increase feedings to 5-7 times daily. The diet should consist of 35% concentrated feed and 65% vegetables. From day 11 to 20, focus more on green materials. After 21 days, switch to cereal-based feed and continue feeding 4-5 times a day. Fourth, separate the brooding groups. Goslings within the same batch may vary in size and strength, so it's important to group them appropriately to ensure even growth and better management. Keep each group small, around 50-80 birds. Inspect them frequently during the day and night, and handle them gently 4-5 times a day to prevent them from piling up, which can lead to cold stress or overheating. Fifth, allow early grazing. Once they start eating, take them out every hour to help regulate temperature and release moisture. After 7 days of age, choose sunny and breezy days to let them graze in a clean, shallow pond. Start with short sessions and keep the area close by. Sixth, focus on disease prevention. Goslings have weak immune systems, so it’s crucial to keep their living area clean, change bedding regularly, and clean feed troughs with alkaline water once a week. Pay special attention to preventing gosling flu and gosling plague during the brooding period. By following these steps, you can ensure the health, growth, and well-being of your goslings throughout their early development.

Starch-based Plastics

Thermoplastic starch is also called "non-structured starch", which can make the starch structure disordered and thermoplastic by certain methods. Starch molecules for polysaccharides molecular structure, containing a large number of hydroxyl, due to its intermolecular and intramolecular hydrogen bond action, so that its melting temperature is higher, and its decomposition temperature is lower than its melting temperature, so in the heat processing, starch molecules did not melt and first decomposed. The traditional mechanical processing method of plastic is mostly heat processing, so to make starch - based whole starch plastic needs to make natural starch thermoplastic. This thermoplasticity can be achieved by changing the crystalline structure inside starch molecules. Destroy intramolecular and intermolecular hydrogen bonds, disrupt the double helix crystal structure of starch molecules, which will reduce the melting temperature of starch and make it thermoplastic.
