Feed Source
The feed used in jet-flowing Fish farming is similar to that used in spray-type fish farming. However, due to the small body size, high water flow, and fast current speed, the feed must be processed into pellets or granules to prevent it from breaking apart. To ensure the feed remains intact, binding agents are often added. For example, tilapia feed typically consists of rice bran, soybean meal, and fish meal. In addition, green feeds such as Qing Ping and Yu Ping are also provided daily to supplement their diet. Grass carp are usually fed with soybean cake, peanuts, corn, rice bran, rice, and bagasse. As for quail, their feed often includes fish meal, blood meal, and flour.
Diet Formulas
1. Tilapia Diet Formula: Fish meal (10%), meat and bone meal (10%), soybean cake (35%), wheat bran (25%), and dried tofu residue (20%). This combination ensures a balanced nutrition profile for optimal growth.
2. Grass Carp Diet Formula: Soybean cake (20%), wheat bran (35%), corn (35%), fish meal (9.5%), and salt (0.5%). This formula supports the dietary needs of grass carp, especially during their growing phase.
3. Cod Diet Formula: Fish meal (20%), soybean cake (20%), wheat flour (30%), corn (15%), rice (5%), vitamin A (0.5%), bone meal (1%), pigment (6%), salt (0.5%), and trace elements (2%). This well-balanced mix helps maintain the health and coloration of cod.
4. Eel Diet Formula: Fish meal (40%), blood meal (10%), flour (20%), α (2%), minerals (2%), yeast (5%), and multi-vitamin complex (4%). This formula provides essential nutrients required for eel development and overall vitality.
In addition to these formulas, it's important to monitor the feeding behavior and adjust the quantity based on the fish’s growth rate and environmental conditions. Proper feeding not only improves fish health but also enhances productivity and reduces waste. Regularly assessing the quality of feed and making necessary adjustments can significantly impact the success of any aquaculture system.
