From the research perspective, researcher Ji Cunkou said that the oil plants suitable for biodiesel production include soybeans, peanuts, seashore mallow and rapeseed, but soybeans and peanuts are autumn-maturing plants, and there is a â€œgrasslandâ€ for rice, which is the main food plant in our province. The problem, taking into account the food security of our province, is not suitable for large-scale planting; while the output of 30 kilograms per acre of seashore mallow is also far less than the yield of 200 kilograms of rapeseed per mu and about 80 kilograms of rape. At the same time, rape is a summer mature plant, and there is no problem of dispute with the grain, and the impact on wheat is not great; planting rapeseed can also cultivate the fertility of the soil and increase the yield of the rear rice by 15%. Second, the cultivation of rapeseed can also use the winter idle farmland of about 2 million mu in the province. Therefore, rapeseed is the most ideal raw material for the development of biodiesel in Jiangsu.
Qi Cunjian's researcher specially reminded that in the construction of bio-diesel project, scientific planning and rational distribution should be carried out.
