This converts some starch into sugar, making the feed more appealing to pigs. Sixth, before feeding, corn should be soaked to make it softer and easier to chew. Soaking the corn flour in 1–1.5 times its weight in water for 2 hours helps improve digestion and nutrient absorption. Lastly, if corn is ground into flour, it should be used within a short period. Due to its high fat content, ground corn tends to spoil quickly. It’s best to use it within 10–15 days, especially during summer when spoilage occurs faster. Storing it for too long can lead to rancidity and reduce its nutritional value. By following these guidelines, farmers can maximize the benefits of corn while ensuring healthy and efficient pig production.
