Pricking method of colored pepper

Under normal conditions, pruning is not performed until the branches and foliage between trees begin to overlap. At this stage, the focus is on maximizing the yield of the first pod. Once the first loquat fruits are harvested, vegetative growth typically accelerates. This is when pruning should start. Depending on the plant's growth condition and available space, it's recommended to retain 2 to 3 main branches per tree. Among these, 3 strong branches should be selected to grow vigorously, while 2 weaker ones may be pruned or kept for later use. In cases where plants are located in areas with more space or surrounded by missing trees, up to 4 main branches can be retained to optimize fruit production. When topping branches, it's generally advised to leave 3 to 4 leaves above the cut. The top portion should be kept to encourage new growth, while fruits are usually left on the main branches. If a main branch isn't bearing fruit, a small fruit can also be left on a side branch before topping. Any newly unfurling leaves should be preserved, as they contribute to photosynthesis and plant health. However, any unopened leaves and excess buds that could lead to unnecessary growth should be removed to maintain balance and structure within the tree. This careful pruning strategy helps ensure healthy growth, better light penetration, and improved fruit quality, ultimately leading to higher yields and better long-term tree management.
